Come meet and socialize with other SBMS families and faculty members. We will be serving several different flavors of ice cream for a suggested donation of one dollar per bowl.

Walk the Amazon!

Coming this fall! Students, staff and families all participate in our annual Walk the Amazon fundraiser which provides much needed equipment, classroom supplies and materials, as well as helps extend our teaching staff so that we can provide academic interventions in English Language Arts and Math. Direct Donation Drive

  The annual Spencer Butte Direct Donation Drive (DDD) raises funds to ensure adequate funding to support staff salaries. Without fundraising efforts from the community, our school would have classrooms with over 40 students in each. Past efforts have helped to provide much needed elective offerings, Language Arts and Math intervention classes. More information about the 2016-17 DDD will be coming soon.

Harassment and Racism Free Zone

On April 13, 1988, with the support and encouragement of Superintendent Margaret Nichols and various community organizations (e.g. CALC), the Spencer Butte Middle School staff, students, and community declared the school a “Racism Free Zone.”  This stance was in response to a district task force report on the state of racism and harassment in our communities and schools.
