HOMEWORK CLUB BEGINS MONDAYSEPTEMBER 10TH

Spencer Butte Middle School offers an after school staff supervised drop-in basis study hall that is open to all students. We want to give those in attendance our full attention so we ask that students follow these guidelines:
1. All school policies remain in effect until 4:25.
2. Arrive no later than 3:45 p.m. If late, must have note from a staff member.
3. Students will stay on task and not disrupt others, or they will be asked to leave and wait for parent/guardian pick-up in the front lobby and an email will also be sent to parent/guardian.
4. You must check with a supervising adult before leaving the room AND sign-out on the orange clipboard.
Volunteers and snack donations are always appreciated.

POISON OAK

Please be aware that poison oak is common in the wooded areas surrounding the school. We encourage you to familiarize yourselves with the plant and not have kids play in those areas after school.

FREE/REDUCED LUNCH APPLICATIONS

In these tough economic times, many families are finding their finances tighter than ever. The school meal program may be able to help. The program is confidential, easy, and good for both your budget and our school.

A new application (one per household) must be completed each school year to qualify for free or reduced-price lunches. Applications are available online (https://district.ode.state.or.us/apps/frlapp/default.aspx), in the school office, and at the 4J Education Center (200 North Monroe, Eugene), and can be returned to your school or to the 4J Education Center.

VOLUNTEER BACKGROUND CHECKS

Community and parent volunteers new to a school need to complete an online volunteer background check at –  https://www.helpcounterweb.com/welcome/apply.php?district=eugene.  All information on the application is sensitive and will be maintained in a confidential manner.
