ACTIVITY NIGHT TONIGHT – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6TH, 7:00PM TO 9:00PM

We would like to say thank you to everyone who volunteered to chaperone the dance tonight, we could not have pulled it off without the generous support of your time!  The dance starts at 7:00pm and will end at 9:00pm, snacks will be available for purchase and there will be a variety of different activities.

DONATE 3 NON PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS AND GET ENTRY TO THE DANCE FOR $3

Student Council has organized a way to support our school based food drive by reducing dance entry for those who bring in non-perishable food items.  The reduced price will be honored at the door the night of the dance and Student Council will be present to collect any donations that come in.  Entry will be $5 for those that do not bring in food.

WINTER FOOD DRIVE

Families, we have started a winter break food drive! We are collecting food and toiletries from now until Friday, December 13th. You can bring in food that is sealed in its original package. We are also collecting donations to buy the perishable food items like milk, cheese, bread, etc. We will also be purchasing toiletries with the donation money.

FOOD SUPPORT OVER WINTER BREAK

Please let us know if your family could benefit from food support over winter break.  Call the school at 541-790-8300, or directly contact Heather (acharya_h@4j.lane.edu).  All information will be kept confidential. 

DECEMBER 16TH ALL SCHOOL FIELD TRIP

SPORT TEAM AND EXTRACURRICULAR PICTURES NEEDED FOR YEARBOOK

If you’ve taken any extracurricular photos this past fall and would like to share with our yearbook staff, please email advisor, Jenn Kotlarek (kotlarek@4j.lane.edu) for details. We are accepting team and individual photos, any drama and musical performances, or other activities students may be involved in outside of school. Thanks for supporting our yearbook.

SCHOOL CENTS UPDATE

We want to thank our SBMS friends and families for supporting our school in this fundraising competition. We have taken 1st place! Please help us maintain our lead by submitting receipts, either online or dropping them off to the SBMS office. If you have done any shopping at Valley River Center, enjoyed a movie at Regal, or gone out to eat at either BJ’s or Texas Roadhouse, please submit your receipt for points. This competition runs through March 31st and we can still enter any receipts dated November 15th and on. Thank you again and please help us stay in the lead so that we will receive the $2000 Grand Prize!

PREVENT CYBERBULLYING, SEXTING AND CHILD EXPLOITATION

Parent Education Nights: Know what’s going on(line)!  You are invited to a free parent training about preventing cyberbullying, sexting, and sexual exploitation of children. Eugene School District 4J is teaming up with the Eugene Police Department and Bethel School District to provide this training, conducted by a nationally recognized child crimes specialist. Choose which night works for you—the training is offered three times, Dec. 17, 18 or 19, 6:30–8:30 p.m. at South Eugene High School.
