Students must have a physical exam that is no more than 2 years old (dated no earlier than May 16, 2018). We have a school record of latest physical dates, which you may consult if you need verification – call or email Heather Acharya (email@example.com) in the front office.
Our next Dance/Activity Night will be on Friday, February 7th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. We need several parent volunteers to make this a successful event. Please contact Heather Acharya (firstname.lastname@example.org) to sign up.
STUDENT COUNCIL PENNY WAR TO HELP AUSTRALIA
Our Student Council has organized an event to help the relief efforts of the fire and flood damage in Australia, in the form of a Penny War. Students are being encouraged to bring in spare change to support this competition. Each grade level has their own collection receptacle. Every penny is worth one point, while silver coins and paper money work as negative points, for example: A student in 7th grade will want to put pennies in their grade level jar and put other coins and dollars in the grade levels to give them negative points. Our penny war will conclude on February 7th after the Activity Night. This is a great way to have friendly competition while supporting a cause that is near and dear to our student’s hearts.
GENEROSITY FEEDS EVENT
This year, we are working with Generosity Feeds to create meals for our Food Pantry. This program will help many Spencer Butte students that may not have sufficient food over the weekends and school breaks. We are working with Camas Ridge Elementary School to raise money for this program and the amount we hope to raise is $5000.00. If you would like to help get this program up and running, you can donate and/or sign up to volunteer at the event. There will be a kickoff event and volunteer opportunity on March 14th, 2020 to prepare the meals for distribution to students. If you are interested in helping with this program, please contact Heather Acharya (email@example.com or 541-790-8300).
