A BRUSH UP ON COVID-19 SCHOOL PROTOCOLS

Masks are optional—either way is OK! COVID-19 vaccines are readily available and encouraged, but not required. Washing hands with soap and water for 20 seconds regularly can keep you healthy and prevent the spread of germs. 4J will offer free rapid COVID testing onsite at all schools for students who develop symptoms. Parent consent is required and forms are available at all schools. coming-up: We are again partnering with the Oregon Health Authority and the University of Oregon to offer free weekly COVID-19 testing to all 4J students during the 2022–23 school year. Information on how to opt-in will be shared with families as soon the program reopens, sometime next week. Check with your school or the district website.

CHECKING YOUR STUDENT IN/OUT

If your student will be arriving late during the school day, or you need to check them out early, please make sure to come to the front office to sign them in/out. (This was one of the protocols put on hold over the last few years due to Covid) If you need to pick your student up early, please also remember to call the office ahead of time so we can make sure to have them ready and waiting before you arrive and sign them out.

VOLUNTEER BACKGROUND CHECKS – NEW LINK

We are excited to announce that parents and family members can once again join us inside the Spencer Butte building! We would love to have parent volunteers specifically for times like before school supervision, library throughout the day, and lunchtime supervision. Community and parent volunteers new to our school need to complete an online volunteer background check. NEW LINK! It was brought to our attention that the link from last week wasn’t working so here is the updated link for volunteering: https://apps.raptortech.com/Apply/Mzg4ODplbi1VUw==

All information on the application is sensitive and will be maintained in a confidential manner.

FREE MEALS TO ALL STUDENTS

School meals will be available FREE to all students in 4J schools throughout the 2022–23 school year, thanks to the extension of a federal program that makes it possible to provide the meals at no cost to families. However, we are still asking families to fill out the application for free meals, as it helps keep the funding for this in our schools. https://www.mymealtime.com/
