Spirit Week was a fun week for our school community to come together and have fun! It was great seeing so many students and staff members participate.
November is Native American Heritage Month
This month we celebrate the traditions, languages and stories of Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and affiliated Island communities. There are many native and indigenous people here in Oregon who are from tribes both local, and far away – federally recognized or not. This November and every month, we celebrate the culture and heritage of these remarkable Americans who deeply enrich the quality and character of our school, community, state, and country.
The UO's Museum of Natural and Cultural History offers some great exhibits about indigenous people in Oregon and the first Friday of each month (this Friday!) has free admission. You can
click here to learn more about the museum.
Movie Night This Friday!
We invite our entire school community to SBMS Friday evening (11/7) from 6:00-8:00 to catch the classic movie, The Sandlot. This event is for students and families. We will have chairs and a large screen set up in our gym. Entry is free and movie concessions are available for purchase.
No School 11/10 or 11/11
Next Monday and Tuesday school is not in session. Monday is a grading and professional development day for staff and Tuesday is Veteran's Day.
