SCHEDULE FOR NEXT WEEK

Please note that there is no ‘C’ day next week.  Students that are Blue Cohort will attend hybrid school on Tuesday and Wednesday, while students in the Green Cohort will attend Thursday and Friday.  Our schedule will be A, B, A, B – this may be different than previously published information, we apologize for any confusion.

8TH GRADE FAMILIES – MARK YOUR CALENDARS

8th grade promotion will take place on Wednesday, June 16th between 5:00pm and 8:00pm.  This will be a drive thru, socially distant event for families. We will be providing an alphabetical schedule to minimize traffic and overlap. However, if you cannot attend at the scheduled time, please feel free to come anytime that evening. For families who cannot attend, we will work out other times or methods to make sure students get their promotion materials.

SEHS SUMMER BRIDGE PROGRAM FOR INCOMING 9TH GRADERS

South Eugene High School’s Summer Bridge program is open for registration! All incoming 9th grade students are welcome to register for the August 2nd – 6th experience. Students will meet new friends, gain valuable insight into high school, and have fun! NEARBY NATURE DAY CAMPS SEEK TEEN OUTDOOR LEADER VOLUNTEERS

Nearby Nature’s Summer Program is looking for teens between the ages of 13 and 18 to help paid staff instruct Summer Day camps. Day camp activities include games, nature study, crafts, outdoor adventures, storytelling, gardening, and scientific discovery. Outdoor Leaders must complete six hours of leadership training on June 12th from 10am – 4pm.  Please see the attached Outdoor Leader Job Duties and Application for more information.  You may also contact Grace Chollar-Webb, Summer Day camps Coordinator: 541-687-9699, or programs@nearbynature.org.

FREE MEAL BOX PICKUP

Eugene School District 4J will provide 4J students and youth 18 years old and younger free grab-and-go meal boxes every Wednesday in place of the weekly food box delivery.  The weekly meal boxes can be picked up between 12:45–2:15 p.m. at all 4J middle schools, except Arts & Technology Academy.  Each meal box contains four “heat and eat” breakfasts and lunches, plus five dinner meals. Vegetarian, no gluten, reduced-fat milk/soy milk options, and other dietary restrictions or allergen options are available.  Summer Food boxes will be provided as well – please stay tuned for details.

SOUTH EUGENE SOCCER DAY CAMP

The South Eugene Soccer Club is pleased to announce open registration for the annual South Eugene Soccer Day Camp!  This is for campers entering grades 1st through 8th in the fall of 2021. ROSE CHILDREN’S THEATRE CAMPS

Rose Children’s Theatre is thrilled to return to programming after a long hiatus due to Covid-19 restrictions. RCT will begin Summer Camps the week of July 5th and run through the week of August 23. These camps are for various age groups, will cover many different themes, and will mostly be outdoors – theatre-in-the-park-style. We are committed to the safety of our actors and staff this summer and will be following the Covid-19 guidance from the Oregon Health Authority for Youth Programs and Day Camps.
